UNRESOLVED ISSUES
There are many reasons Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. For one thing, there was less fraud than in 2020. Nevertheless, there were election integrity issues, and they need resolution. Here are a few of them:
In Colorado, Gold Star mother Tina Peters was recently sentenced to 9 years in prison, in part because her actions led to the release of a password related to the election data base. It has now been discovered that the office of Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold accidentally released passwords for 2,100 pieces of election equipment in 63 different counties. Those leaked passwords were publicly available for several months until October of this year. With regard to Peters, Griswold claimed that the released password put the system in grave danger. Now she says that her (Griswold’s) release of passwords is no big deal. An independent investigation is needed. See more here.
Ohio, Florida, and Texas are suing Alejandro Mayorkas and Homeland Security because they are unlawfully withholding information needed to verify the citizenship status of voters. Although a state cannot demand documentation of citizenship from voters, it has the right to obtain verification of citizenship from the federal government. This problem should disappear when new people take the Homeland Security reigns. See more here.
The Washington Times reports that about 2,500 suspicious registration forms were delivered to various PA counties, and many were determined to be fraudulent. Of course, there could be many more that eluded detection. A comprehensive review is needed.
As usual, the Arizona “Keystone Cops” had difficulty conducting and processing the election. There were long voter lines, mechanical problems in Cochise Co., and paper jams. More importantly, it has been reported that 218,000 AZ citizens have been registered to vote even though they did not provide proof of citizenship. In many cases they have been registered for years. (Uniquely, Arizona requires voters to provide proof of citizenship to vote in state and local elections, although no state can require such proof for federal elections.)
TRUMP’S VICTORY IS SOUR NEWS FOR JACK SMITH
As we all know, the two federal cases against President Trump are dead. It is also likely that the New York and Georgia cases will be modified or eliminated. It is very possible, however, that Jack Smith or some other government official will issue a final, one-sided report of alleged crimes, in an effort to impugn Trump’s credibility. If that happens, we will need to set the record straight.
In a way, it is almost unfortunate that President Trump’s attorneys will not have a chance to discredit these allegations in the best venue — a court of law. With regard to the J6 case led by Jack Smith, a large team of excellent attorneys, led by John Lauro, is prepared to show that Trump’s claims of 2020 election fraud were appropriate and truthful. They are also prepared to show that claims of an “insurrection” are ridiculous, given the recently-released testimony of General Mark Milley and former Acting Secretary of Defense Secretary Christopher Miller. Those two men acknowledged that they were told by Trump to use troops and the National Guard to quell any possible disturbances. Due to the obstructive actions of Nancy Pelosi and Liz Cheney, it took us 3 years to learn of that testimony.
Yes, it would be good to finally set the record straight regarding rampant 2020 election fraud. However, the newly-elected president has very important work to do on behalf of the citizens of the United States. It is likely that he will focus on those new issues rather than on the resolution of old ones.
*THE FUTURE OF THIS SUBSTACK ACCOUNT
In the 4 years between the last two elections I have spent countless hours researching and reporting matters related to election integrity, and have tried to support legal efforts on behalf of people unjustly targeted because they claimed that the 2020 election was impacted by fraud.
It is my hope and belief that that Trump and his Republican allies will make sincere efforts to strengthen election integrity and to end or diminish the rampant practice of lawfare. If they don’t, I will be writing about it. In the meanwhile, most of my time will be spent reading instead of writing, so you may not hear as much from me.
I wish to thank the many people who have subscribed to this account. Please retain your subscriptions because there is no downside to doing so. You will not be targeted with ads or fees. And if a critical matter comes to my attention, I will be sure to let you know.
Let’s all hope that President Trump can fulfill his pledge to Make America Great Again.
Hello, Joe, I have a question. According to Wikipedia, which is usually reliable about things that can easily be checked, Joe Biden received 3,458,229 votes in PA in 2020. Thus far, in 2024, 3,396,037 votes have been recorded for Kamila Harris. That's a decrease of 59,192, not 198,000. I have believed for the last four years that the state of Pennsylvania was stolen from Donald Trump in 2020, but I am beginning to wonder. Is Wikipedia wrong?
Thanks for all the great work you do, Joe. I always look forward to learning something new from your posts. I would still love to see you on Tucker Carlson and/or Joe Rogan!
